That is extremely unusual. Most get AOR after 2 months.

1. I’m the representative for my uncle. Applied Apr 4, AOR May 4, AIP May 23
2. My husband: Sep 1 applied. AOR Oct 12. AIP Nov 6.
If you look at the PR tracker, it’s not unusal at all.

How do you know he didn’t get OHIP due to his job given that you submitted a letter from his employer?

That doesn’t allow you to live in Canada. She would be denied entry because she is living in Canada. Given she is trying to live in Canada on a visitor permit she needs to try and avoid contact with immigration.

The visitor record does not guaranteed re-entry.

@mitchpace, despite the veritable blizzard of posts here since your initial post, It's sounding like the only assured course at this point is, as @scylla suggested early on, that you need to find a dr. in Canada (not sure a specialist is required) to see her for her checkups. For that you will have to bear some cost.

It also seems to me, that as well as your wife facing increasing scrutiny on coming back into Canada on each trip, if you are with her, maybe you will be questioned about why so many trips to U.S.

First. I apologize for not related comments in this post. And sorry about your situation.
I think it’s best not to deal with immigration too much. Try to look for Midwife. I heard they are dealing with pregnancy people without charging or small fees.

It is very hard to find a midwife that is accepting patients and you can only apply to practice se in a certain area but you can attempt to do so to reduce costs. In general best to anticipate having to pay 10-15k+ when deciding whether remaining in Canada is possible.

Yes. My cousin was having a midwife while she was pregnant and having a visitor visa. Idk how much but it was lower than having to pay a lot of $ without one.
It’s worth to do so.

There aren't many Dr accepting new patients at the moment. Plus, we are looking at a cost of $15-20K easily if we were to do it here in Canada which will be a bit hard for me to bear currently.
Do you think Air port entries will be a little smoother than land entry?
Also, does every count as a new entry for her? We want to make sure for her PR too this does not count as an over stay. Appreciate it!

I also personally know 5+ people who haven’t been able to get a midwife even with OHIP because practices were full. Some midwives seem to prioritize non-OHIP holders although they are supposed to prioritizes those with OHIP but there is a limit to how many patients they can take based on due date. Given that spouses are now coming to Canada easily many are getting pregnant placing even more demand on midwives. In the past few weeks someone else was trying to find a midwife and had called almost 10 and they were all not taking patients. There isn’t a lot of midwives to begin with.

Every new entry should count but same day trips sometimes don’t. Clarify with CBSA. The big issue is the frequency of entry so flying doesn’t solve that issue and flying won’t be practical or save you much money. People are able to live temporarily in Canada as visitors because they don’t have any interaction with immigration. When you get on their radar there tends to be more problems.
