I am panicking so much right now, application date 23 sept, ack - 12 sept. Do you guys think I can take nov 6th flight?

For Toronto, OCI is getting processed today for Oct10 ack date. So, doesn't look like yours will be processed before Friday Nov3. And then, Consulate is closed over the weekend (Nov 4 and 5). I don't believe there's any way you can OCI in hand the same day that it's processed, irrespective of the reason for urgency. So, if I were you, I'd prepare to postpone travel by a few days at least.

With Oct 12, the earliest the consulate will process it is Nov 2 (tomorrow or today after 2:30 pm). If you make it to the open house today and show the urgency, they may ensure its processed without any further delay. At the same time also request to pick it up from the consulate tomorrow or on 3rd.

You will get it back in about 2 to 3 weeks. If you need them back urgently, call BLS and ask.

Its definitely possible to get OCi the same day as processed and printed by contacting the Consulate. I know people who have done this -- but you have to be very proactive and the be able to convince a consular officer of the ugency.

To be on safer side you can apply for entry visa. My travel date is 20th dec so i am not applying for entry visa for kid, but will be applying for entry visa and OCI for myself and wife later this week as we can not get OCI by 20th dec.

Is acknowledgment an email to you? My OCI file reached Surrey on Oct 19th. Didnt hear anything for the next 10 days. Now it says on the tracker "under process". What is the next step should I be looking for? haven't received any communication yet.
