OCI process

In the tracker sheet for Toronto that I maintain, I have added a projected date for all those who have Ack. Its a best case estimate, so interpret accordingly.

Until we have a clear idea of process times for entry visa, it is hard to suggest a course of action. Unless it is substantially less than OCI processing times (like 2 weeks instead of 45 days) I see little point in applying for entry visa for those currently waiting for OCI with tight schedules. Either way you may have to postpone the trip if OCI doesn't come through in time, and leaving the passport with the consulate only complicates matters.

Haha. Means he was just kidding. As most of us have been waiting for ACK and haven’t got that in 10-15 days.

Nops, this was for Entry Visa! Seems like 10-15 days is the official time of processing being quoted by BLS agents, consulate website and in the BLS offices too!

BLS Status - Processing at consulate 2 times
OCI website - No record found

There is a decent chance. Ack may come in next few days and wait till then to decide whether to postpone or not.

Wow! so the 10-15 days timeline is true! I am assuming you had the 'surrender certificate'.. my wife's certificate is under process and they do not seem to believe that it any supporting document for an 'in-process' application would work! :/

ours is minor application, and at BlS Edmonton , they have glued paper on the door and when you have reached there, you have to write your name and it serves as a token no, and when office opens , they call people inside in group of 5 , our token no was 10 so
