Travelers using OCI at the time of online checkin might not be able to complete their online checkin.
They will have to checkin for flights over the counter. This is because of OCI expiry date which in most cases does not have any expiry date.
It happened with me when I traveled from YYZ to DEL earlier in March.

I was filling out the Entry Visa form for my Dad and discovered that the Given Name field is Mandatory. On his Canadian Passport, his full name is printed in the surname field and the Given Name field is left empty (No XXX). Is anyone else in the same boat? Just trying to figure out a way around it.

I applied for e-visa on Sept 19 (might have been Sept 20 according to IST). The decision to suspend was effective from Sept 21. So I tend to not trust those folks who are claiming their e-visa applications have been approved post the resumption announced earlier today.
Thanks for maintaining the tracker. Ottawa Seems to be running very slow. Did anyone try reaching BLS and checking if there is any update as we have past 6 weeks after Ack date. Hoping to see some update soon.
Good question. I think its conference visa (5 days in the past, consulate site still says 5 days, BLS states conflicting numbers).
You need an invitation from a conference though. The only one for which no such extra documentation is required (except proof of PIO) is entry visa.

We had the same issue when we tried checking in for our son who is a oci holder a few months ago. We were flying Etihad. At the counter they told us to enter the expiry date of the passport in the expiry date field
