I called them up twice and they are mentioning that they have not received it from the Consulate yet. I opted for courier. I will call them again today.

@eas2lv BLS mentioned to me that they received my OCI card only on the 23rd of October and that it will take 3 to 5 business days to dispatch. Is this normal?

Hi All,

Finally, today had the BLS (ottawa) status changed to "Passport Ready for collection after OCI Stamping."

Below, is the full timeline,

Applied For: 5 month old Minor
Application Date: 18-Aug-2023
Applied at: BLS OTTAWA
Application Acknowledgment Date: 23-Aug-2023 (in OCI online)

Status update (as on 19/10/23)

BLS website: "Processing at High Commission"

Oci Online website:
Documents Printing Status PROCESSED On 19-OCT-2023
Dispatched From MEA (OCI) NEW DELHI On 20-OCT-2023
Document received At OTTAWA - -

There were no updates on the OCI website after it had been dispatched from New Delhi on 20-Oct-2023. However, I had been checking the BLS tracker too, and the status changed to 'Passport Ready for Collection after OCI Stamping' today (24-Oct-2023)

Does the BLS status site show that date (23rd)?. As the counter delivery date is Oct 10th, I suspect they misplaced it. Also, not normal going by a majority of posts here, but your options are limited. If in a hurry try to pick it up, else wait.

One Oct 03 Ack person got update today --- processed (as per the tracker). You may get yours (I mean processed status) on 26th, hopefully. I recall you had a Nov 1 deadline -- is that the travel date?

That looks doable, but keep a close watch on the status and contact BLS on slightest delay after they get it. You can't afford the kind of slow down @Smanampa is reporting.

Any idea how long it takes for BLS Surrey to acknowledge your application? My OCI application was received on Oct 19. Still nothing on the tracker.

The wait is never ending . So much anxiety to see the update as my travel date is 15th Nov . Hope to get OCI processed anytime now and receive it soon.

It only shows dispatch’s from New Delhi on Oct 18th. No update on bls or OCi after that
