Hi house, please help. Hubby's citizenship application was submitted Nov 2022 and Aor also in Nov 2022 ever since then there is no progress and after numerous calls and assistance we found out BG has not been completed because the CSIS part is still pending and the RCMP one is complete.

Is there anyway to understand what's going on and how Background check can last up to a year without progress? He is an ottawa applicant.

4. ECAS status “In process” on 18th May
5. Background cleared on 30th May, 2023

I called them, and they said the application is in the normal processing time. I got gcms notes 3 times 2 months apart each and dont see a single change in from the first and the last one. I dont know what to do?
