Hi all,
I am in process to apply OCI for my new born kid .we have ontario birth certificate, do we need to get it attested ?

I saw someone with 23 July acknowledgment date got his oci status change to processed yesterday in one facebook group for ottawa

That is close to 9 weeks of processing then.

I did make the drive to Brampton BLS but stood in line for 2.5 hours and it didn't move at all. Security told us that they're only taking about 5-10 people a day from the walk-in line and that based on their hours of 8am - 1pm. The priority is given to appts which is around 340 a day.

I don't know if I Toronto BLS is any better. Did you try the walk-in recently?

Did it with Ottawa. 8-9 am they don't take appointments, so they quickly process walk-ins. Brampton, Toronto may have more applicants so the issue.

I was right when I said on Thursday "there is more to the story" , without international allies backing Canada would not have done so, as per yesterdays media reports on US and allies (Five Eyes) intelligence which had shared the evidence and. information with Canada. Link below

tbh, it doesn't matter to India as he was branded a "T*******" by the NIA. USA did the same thing to UBL, AL-Zaw, SH (in Iraq) and quite a few in the middle east. When other's do, it shouldn't be a problem to USA.

Which office. Generally Toronto is slow in acknowledgment but fast in overall processing. And ottawa vice versa

Oh that's something new for me. I was under impression that all the applications process in New Delhi, once the applicant receives the acknowledgement.
