Spoke with the BLS office in Brampton today and they confirmed they are still accepting and processing OCI and Passport Surrender applications.

I hope the current situation does not delay the processing times though.

Thank you for the updated!! Kinda got scared as I have the Purolator keeping my package tomorrow to deliver to BLS.

Do I need to make two DDs for OCI? (Ottawa)
If so how much should be each for 345$ and payable n favour of whom?
I’m not sure I understand the website info.
The checklist asks for only one DD to be made in favour of “High Commission of India, Ottawa” is this enough?

If you go in-person one DD in favor of "High Commission of India - Ottawa". BLS charges you can pay with Debit card.
If postal additional DD in favor of "BLS International Services Canada Inc."

If you adhaar card is still active in india (and you plan on cancelling it soon) - can you apply for OCI still? Also, I'm currently hold a TN visa. I technically reside in the US right now but I can also technically reside in Canada. Does it matter where I apply? If I apply in Vancouver and give my parents mailing address in Vancouver, does it matter? I think you need to submit proof of address.

Hi, what we need to attach for professional letter for the minor ?

that's is not mandatory, i attached my employer letter and took two payslips to BLS, to provide to them in case they ask, but they didn't ask anything about employer letter or paystubs

Hopefully, it goes through amid all the negativity as we have travel plans in Nov.

My Date Of Acknowledgement is: 18-AUG-2023 from BLS Montreal walk-in only. Can you please update us once you receive your OCI. Thanks.

No. 1 DD in favour of HCI for 345$ and other in favour of BLS for BLS fees for each applicant. Others can correct me if this in in correct.

7 weeks already done and still its "UNDER-PROCESS" . Isn't it going too slow?

I submitted 1 physical picture with each of the 3 applications the postal OCI application? But I read people needed 2 pictures at walk-in. I had called them before sending and they mentioned 1 picture. Will they return all 3 applications? Any ideas what is the ask ? So much confusion with BLS man

I did in person and they only took 1. This was for Ottawa.
