IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

Anybody here with oath date in September? When did you receive the email invite?

My oath date is Sept 27th but I haven't received an email yet. I know it usually comes closer to time so I'm just patiently waiting.

I received my "INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW WITH A CITIZENSHIP OFFICIAL AND VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY/DOCUMENTS" for end of September. For background, I applied for citizenship in April 2022, moved to the UK in November 2022, did my test online and passed it. As I live outside of Canada this means I need to fly to Toronto to addend in person interview Scarborough. I would prefer not to attend the interview in person in Toronto and either have it online or at the Embassy but I think this is a very remote (if not impossible) possibility. Has anyone been through the same process or been in a similar situation?



I am not sure what to expect from such an interview, any tips are appreciated!

Recently 2-3 ppl in the forum who are outside Canada received similar in-person request. They said they will request for online meeting. Not sure how successful they were with it.

Hi all. My LPP was approved Aug 31st and on Sep 7th tracker was updated to show Oath scheduled Oct 4th but this morning it got changed to Oct 14th. I didnt receive any email yet. I need to travel urgently as a family member recently had surgery. Am I able to request early oath. Please suggest if I should do so...email or call or web inquiry?

Generally the oath email has the address needed to contact for such request. Webform is slow, better call IRCC.

I visited the MP's office last week. That might have triggered something.

in the email invite does it say certificate will be e-certificate or they going to the address.
Does the email specify its going to be digital certificate?

You can ask and change this when they are checking your ID at the oath. E-certificates are better as you can't lose them, and if there are errors in them you can just email them and they'll fix it, instead of applying for a new one.

Please let me know when you get your oath invitation email and I'll let you know when I get mine since we both have same oath dates!

The letter says that you will be given the choice by the officer if you want digital or paper copy the day of the oath
