My acknowledgement date is 27 July and status is UNDER PROCESS
Dose any one has same or later acknowledgement date and application processed??

Hi, @abbas.pasha, I am in the process of submitting my OCI application and had some doubts about the application form. I see you are well aware of the OCI process. Would you be able to please help me with the following?

1. On the first page, it ask to enter "previous passport number." Should I be putting my old Indian passport number that was cancelled after renewal or leave it blank?

2. Since I am married, it's asking to put my Spouse's passport details. He also became a Canadian citizen same day as me. Should I be putting his Canadian passport details in that section?

3. May I also know if they will ask for Marriage certificate on the day of appointment?

4. Last question, the firm I work for does not have a direct number to call to? In that case can I provide whatever is on the website? I am not sure why they need this info for OCI?

For pt 4 some weeks back debit card was not the option on the official bls site. Now it shows. Will let latest applicants chime in.

Two separate payments required of OCI application as per the direction of HCI.

Draft or money order in favor of "Consulate General of India – Toronto"
(Note: Fees payable under this draft / money is for Consular fees + ICWF Charge only).

You need a DD. Debit card won't work.
BLS charges you can pay with Debit card.

Like $30 for BLS courier fee each time you submit anything. How stupid.

Ottawa does not force you. They ask you, if you want to go with courier. Is it not the same with Toronto?

I wish it was. Unfortunately here they are like no that is not available

- Leave it blank
- Haan behan haan, OCI bio page will have these details along with your parents names when it get printed..
- yeah just include it, even if your and husbands Indian passport had each others name mentioned, include the marriage certificate. (Carry all originals the day you go for the Mahabharat at BLS)
-they just wanna make sure you don’t work for Canadian govt. whatevr info you have include it.

None of my passport has my spouse name as we got married after my Indian passport was renewed.
It just ask Spouse nationality and then ask to enter his passport details. But which passport is my question.
