Hi, I am going to apply oci in bls Montreal. What mode of payment do they accept? Is DD required or i can pay all through debit card. Thank you for your reply.

Bls fee you pay through debit. DD is must for considered general fee.

3. Document received at TORONTO

Finally got an update on the OCI portal today with “Under process”. Submitted in-person on July 21 at BLS Toronto.

Do they send the acknowledgement (start of processing at consulate) via email?

the days mentioned in my post above are only indicative averages for straightforward applications without much complexity. In reality, it fluctuates quite a bit as the TAT is also basis workload at New Delhi given that OCI applications flow in from all over the world.

I have applied for my OCI by Purolator and sent them the original Indian Passport. I received my passport back yesterday by Purolator. Do I have to pay again for the return label for OCI booklet?

Maybe you can contact BLS and ask. I am not sure.
Most likely you should receive OCI by purolator

Nope. I just saw it by manually checking status on the OCI website.
