When did you apply for UP? I also received the same generic reply from Scarborough
I applied on May 9th
My BG was marked complete today
I did submit UP request back in Feb, but I doubt this is a result of that. They just finally took my file out of hold for 11 months and put back into regular processing.
So I had applied for urgent processing way back in November. Never heard back from them. Had my BG and test completed since then, but the pace was that of regular processing. So I just assumed my urgent request was denied. Today, when I called IRCC to get update on whether there is any movement on LPP, the agent said no and indicated that the processing officer has still not checked my urgent request. She requested a follow up from the officer. I am concerned now if this would cause any further delay. The reason for urgent processing request was travel for medical reasons (I still am waiting to start my treatment). Worst case would be my urgent processing request will be denied, right? I hope it won't cause delays beyond normal processing times. Sigh. I am overthinking.

I would imagine this can't result in anything worse than a denial and continuity in regular processing. But then, with IRCC one can't tell.
I hope your UP gets approved. Really sorry you are in this position...

How did they determine that the urgent request hadnt been looked at yet? Every time I call, they say there's no way of knowing from the information that they can see.

That is what the customer service agent told me. That the request has not been looked at (so no decision has been made in that regard). She put me on hold for quite a while. So perhaps she checked with someone else.

Thank you for your kind words.
Hello brother,
Just want to follow up, did you apply for UP and is there any progress in your application?
I did not. I decided to not waste my time with them.
Hi all I applied in Aug 2022 application at the LPP stage in process. My Boss is offering me a better job within the company, but say I have to get my Citizenship first. My Current passport from the Uk gets me stopped more often and keep having my photo and finger prints done every three months (I know that don't take long but the Boss said a Canadian Passport is required for the role.
My question is can I request my application be classed as a urgent one now?

Yes, you will likely qualify for urgent processing.
When did you reach LPP? It sounds like you will be getting oath in a few weeks anyway, so not sure if the UP will help quicken the process any more than that.
No harm applying though, except for the effort of preparing the request and getting a letter from your boss to support it. It is also a good safeguard in case IRCC does end up dragging their feet.

Oh in that case, yes your UP request may indeed help.
Thank you shall a letter from myself and a letter from my Boss. Or just fill out the Webform and enter the details there then submit the email from the employer as a attachment

Definitely get a letter from your boss and also write a letter from yourself, and include as attachment when you submit webform. Summarise your request in webform (there isn’t much space). Also email all this to your local office.
Thank you is the local office the one that sends you the test invite
