I didn't document my timeline, but its typical, they asked for ADR twice, last one was in Feb, 20. My AOR, Oct. 2020, FSW Outland.

These are all the activities related to security and they were the same around two months ago.

Please let me know if that makes any sense, I looked online and I didn't see people with hold on their file.

Thanks,

Hi @walnorez, no they are from October 2022. The other activities are from 03/2020.

@MD1990FSW you said last activity was ADR for Schedule A on 20 Feb. Is that Correct? If Yes, then it might take 1-2 months to get next update based on latest ADR.

Hi @ma2021,

I got the ATIP notes from CSIS and all what it says is that the security screening case is still in progress and the information has been exempted. Is this enough to say its comprehensive?

Thanks,
Hi! Yes, that’s confirmation that your application is undergoing additional background checks and what this forum refers to as comprehensive security screening. Check your CBSA notes to determine when your security screening start date is. It takes anywhere from 3 months to over a year after that for it to process. There’s nothing that you can do to expedite this but once you pass this step, it’s almost guaranteed your application will be finalized. Good luck! I am in the same boat since October 2022 (coming up on 6 months).

Thank you, the CBSA date is also Oct. 2022.

Have you considered filing a Writ of Mandamus with the courts? 2.5 years is unreasonable delay and not within IRCC’s advertised average processing times for PR applicants.

hi guys,
i'm going to request CBSA notes to make sure if I'm undergoing enhanced security screening, what should I write here?

*Requests must include sufficient detail to enable an experienced employee of the CBSA, with a reasonable effort, to identify the records that are being requested. Examples include, but are not limited to, time periods, file numbers, client identifiers, file names, report titles, locations (office, port of entry or region/branch), names of individuals, passport numbers, dates of birth (if requesting traveller history or immigration files).

Hello @legalfalcon my background check status changed from in process/ progress to Not Applicable. What does that mean ?

Hello @legalfalcon my background check status changed from in process/ progress to Not Applicable. What does that mean ?

The BGC will change twice. First when your criminality is in progress, which is fairly early in the application, and then will go back to not applicable. It will then again change to in progress, after eligibility has been passed and when security screening is in progress. This is usually at the end of the application processing.

If your application BGC has seen a change twice, then your application is nearing an end.
