does the PR card expire?
i mena do we have to renew it?
I got mine in 2018
Yes, it has an expiry date on it and it seems like yours must be about to expire.. You'll have to renew it, especially when you are traveling as you need it to enter back into Canada
I had applied on Feb 5th online and absolutely no update. Calling IRCC also doesn't help and they don't give any useful update.
I think the processing time will be from your resubmission date.
Update: I just got my AOR just today (Paper based)

Great News. Good to see the updates for Paper-based applications. Did you try linking the application to the GC key? Also, are you able to track anything in ecas. (

Hi jeff, I got a ghost update in GCKey today too. Is that the status turned into case or something get update (sorry cannot remember). I called it ghost update because after I refreshed the page, it turned back to "submitted" again. FX! I didn't receive email notice or message in GCKey.
Hi all,
I just called the IRCC now and they say that they are currently closed and they open 8 to 4 local time.
So if they mean Nova Scotia time, it's already 10.30 AM there. Does anyone know what they mean please?
Thanks

Is the phone number that you are calling with a Nova Scotia area code? Their phone system is sophisticated lol so if your area code is lets say from BC you will get the we are closed message since its not 8am there yet. Try blocking your number and calling.

Hi all! I know this question is out of place, but maybe one of you know.
What proof of legal status I can provide to US Embassy other than my PR card? My PR card is already expired.
Thank you!
