Before submitting the schedule A, make sure to review and don’t leave any gaps. I had to add a word document with my form because I don’t have enough space to add my experience. I think @CherAmie posted some tips about that in February. Just go back a little to check that.

Happy Weekend All!

yesterday night i got an email to extend OGWP till june 2025. Mine is getting expired in Sep 2023.
My passport is valid till August 2024.

i need suggestions on;
1) Should I renew passport and apply for extension of owp?
2) Or is okay go to with current passport n i will get extension to Aug 2024
3) if i will change my passport with renewal and adding my husband's name and address will going to delay or affect my current PR application?

I will be happy to answer any additional questions
I don't think there is any urgency to apply but it is alway wise to be prepared:
  1. You should apply for an OWP extension about 4 months before your current one expires, or at least make sure you apply before it actually expires so you can stay in 'maintained' status & continue to work while it is being processed.
  2. You can apply with your current passport, but they will likely limit the validity of your OWP-ext to the date your passport expires. Hopefully by then, you would have your PR. However, it is also always good to have an up today passport so depending on how quickly you can get an updated passport and for how long they will renew it (5 yrs? 10 yrs?), it might be wise to update it if there's time, just in case you need to maximize the length of your OWP-ext.
  3. Updating your passport with your new married name should not affect your current PR application, however:
    • Have you notified IRCC of your marriage, name & address change? If not, you should do so by webform with the required proof of marriage. It is a requirement that you keep them notified of these significant events & changes.
    • If they are aware of your marriage but not the name change, you would be wise to advise them of your name change and proof, so that your PR Card & Passport have the same names, etc.
Best wishes!

Anyone has any idea how long does it take to complete security if everything is already passed.
security in process since 27 feb as well as adr in review.
any idea
Thanks in advance
If you read back on this forum, it varies a lot, and it actually could already be passed but neither the call centre agents nor you can see it in your account. Many get their first PR email without Background Check (Info Sharing, Security, Criminality, etc.) showing as having passed. Mine only showed as passed on my account the day I received my eCOPR.

Hey guys
My friend received her Pr portal yesterday and has to reply to the email for her and her dependents. However, her husband who is her dependent is not in canada right now and will be back in April. also , he already got is permanent residency in January from his application.
that fact that her dependent is not in canada ,Will this affect her pr? Will it cause a delay in receiving ecopr? Please What should she reply or how could she reply to that portal email?
You can reply to the very first PR email from inside or outside of Canada. You must answer each of the several questions first for yourself, and then again in the same email, for each of your dependents. This helps IRCC to understand if the primary applicant is in Canada and if they can proceed with the further landing steps (portal access, photo upload, mailing address confirmation, eCOPR, PR card, etc.) and what, if anything, they may need to do for dependents outside of Canada. If the main applicant is outside of Canada, they want to know when you expect to return. They will then pause your 'landing' until you return to Canada and let them know you are back.

In your case, you are in Canada, so I would respond to the questions for you and then also for your husband, but I would also state there you believe there is no further need to include him in your landing process because he has already received his PR. Provide his PR details, application number, eCOPR date, so they can confirm that he does not need to be included in your landing process. And, ask them if there is anything else you need to do as a result of your husband having his own PR.

Hope that helps!

Please guys when you receive pr portal and have to confirm that you are in canada , do you and your dependents in canada have to be in canada or only you have to be in canada when replying?
You need to be in Canada for the next landing steps (after the very first PR email with the several questions asking where you & your dependents are &/or when you plan to return) to proceed to receive the next email -- the link to the PR portal, portal credentials, upload your digital photo and confirm your mailing address in Canada. Your dependents do not all have to be in Canada at that time. They can arrive later.

I had to also attach a Word doc to add my personal history to avoid the back and forth with IRCC

Hi everyone! My application has no update since July 2021. Called IRCC many times and they said it's normal ?!

Stream: International Graduate
Eligibility and Security, both not started.
The issue is they have not started for eight months!!! The call center at IRCC says it's normal.... I was really mad. I contacted local mp but they said they tried and could not interfere with IRCC officer.
everything else has passed.

The office is at Whitehorse. I heard many people saying that this office is very slow.

Does anyone has any advice or have the same situation?
