Hello everyone. I received portal 1 email recently. But I have an important travel out of Canada in a month. Can I reply to portal 1 after I come back, which would be about 2 months after receiving it? Any risk in replying late? Thanks for any advice!

I was in similar situation I called IRCC and agent mentioned there is no timeline to respond to portal mail and you can respond after go on vacation/urgent trip that you are outside Canada and would return by this date.
As they would require your latest entry to Canada. I was able to travel on vacation and when I returned to Canada I replied to IRCC accordingly.

Any idea why nothing is changing in gc key? Other have said background changes with ghost updates , I see nothing.

It's probably because the status did change and you missed it. I remember, if I had not checked GU during MEP, I would never know what exactly changed

The 2nd Portal mail. That is credentials email. Mentions that you have 7 days to login and confirm presence is Canada and upload photo.
Photo specifications are as mentioned in that link. I got it clicked from shoppers drug mart.

So, better be ready before responding to your first portal email. It's a long way for us, but good to know it before hand.

Could it be possible they are assigned to send email for all Ontario applications, once all is done

I have friends who are in Vancouver also getting portal emails from Etobicoke, seemingly not only Ontario applicants.


BTW, does anyone know if a GU is something that must happen? If I have never gotten any GU, does that mean I am nowhere near the approval point?

If these are not started, why are they asking for RPRF? Is that a sign that the application is moving?

I have read somewhere in this forum only, rrpf is issued if your application is approved, so you are close my friend

Created tracker account in First week of March. Biometrics & Medical were showing as completed, but Eligibility was "Not Started"
In Tracker Eligibility was completed on 20 March, but till now Background Verification: Shows as "Not Started"


Its been 10 days , and no updates on my application. I saw one weird thing on my application tracker. I used my email id to create a CIC login account, but the email ID showing on the application tracker is not mine(but of the agent who previously filed my work permit), The MED and BIOMETRIC update and all other email notifications have been sent to my email address only, so far. Is there a possibility that the COPR email may go to the email id showing up on tracker ? Also, what is the fastest way to get my email id updated on tracker ?
I haven't yet raised a webform to update the email id to prevent any kind of confusion. Please suggest.
