I had called IRCC today (in Canada) to ask if these ghost update really changes anything in my application but they could not say anything as it’s in New Delhi! I knew they won’t have the access to the application anymore still tired! Just wanted to share.

Finally some visible update on PR tracker: Eligibility "In Progress" and it started 5 days ago it seems!

I think you need to have correct details to open the account. I am not sure about any other option but may be try talking to IRCC for suggestion. Some other member here could suggest you aswell. Sorry, I couldn’t be a help.

Make sure you register with the names you applied with. That is names on passport. Don't leave out any.

Happened to me so best bet is to either call IRCC or like myself, send a DM on Twitter IRCC account. The latter is what i did before i finally get things moving with mine as it was finally rejected for missing documents. There is quite a few people like us in that situation.

Contact your MP and ask them to inquire with IRCC on your behalf. Same thing happened to me when we applied in Dec 2021. Turns out they directed our Outland Online application to the Inland office and it took them 10 months to return our application. My MP was working to figure things out for 5 months.

Is it possible to link a family sponsorship application submitted through the PR Portal to the myCIC(GC Key) account like how we could do it with the paper family sponsorship applications in the past? If not, then how would one check on the application's progress and updates?
