I see my date of birth is showing as 2022-12-02 on BLS's tracking page. Is it going to be corrected at some point? Should I worry about it?

It is showing correct date of birth for my wife as expected.

Yes, I remember seeing the same and got fixed by it's own at some point. But not sure whether your case is same as mine or not. It's doesn't hurt calling them and inform about it.

- Canadian Passport: please the refer the OCI sample form: https://www.blsindia-canada.com/toronto-jurisdiction/pdf/OCI-Sample-form-with-common-errors.pdf which was updated end of Dec 2022 by BLS
- Birth certificate in the case of Adult applicants is not required, only in the case of minor's application is required
- If the minors who can sign the document, ask them to write the name on a piece of paper, take a picture and upload that. You can use image re-sizer tools and then in the end if cropping is still required you can crop it on the OCI website when you upload. For minor who cannot write there name there thumb prints need to be uploaded (follow the same steps as I suggested above)

Hope they have not lost your OCI. Because, this is how it started for my son's OCI. After couple of days the tracker showed as if it returned back to their airport. And it never got delivered. I am still fighting with them.

I would suggest you to call immediately and ask them to place a priority trace on it, so that it could be tracked. Sorry for raising alarm, I wish I acted quick. I waited for a week hoping that it would start moving, but it never moved out from the Hamilton airport.

Hi, I received my SC and Indian passport today. SC document was stapled to the Indian passport. But on the first and last page of my passport, it was stamped 'Cancelled on Account of Holder voluntarily acquiring Canadian citizenship'.

For OCI, do I need to include these stamped pages too or only the SC paper attached to the passport?

Hi, has any one done a name change in OCI…need some information…since I don’t have a first name, it is mentioned as xxx in the Canadian passport and OCI….already received the legal name change certificate from Ontario…could any one please share details on applying for name change in OCI, thanks

I have contacted BLS via their helpdesk ticketing system (Grievance Redressal Form on BLS's Contact us page) as they did not answer my call via phone.
They mentioned that it is a typo at the BLS counter and mentioned that it won't affect my OCI application.

Checked the BLS website, so far no change. Will likely be updated tomorrow I guess.

My date of ack was Jan 4th and received confirmation on Jan 24th evening ET / 25th IST.....since your acknowledgement was on 11th, exactly a week later, assumed yours would also follow the pattern.......Passport should be ready for collection by Monday 6th Feb......or purolator delivery by 6th or 7th....

Hi Friends,

I'm in a situation to travel India by end of February and I will be receiving my passport by coming week. Can I travel with my Indian Passport itself and come back to US where I will be working after that trip. This means ill be using the 3 months grace period to surrender my Passport.

Please help with your knowledge. Or what is the possibility of surrendering indian passport and getting Entry Visa, I heard we are allowed to get ETA which we can obtain in a week while surrendering Indian Passport.

Would greatly Appreciate your response.
