Has anyone else that has applied for a renewal that tried to link the application to GCKey, had their original PR Card application link instead of the renewal? If so, were you ever able to link your PR Card renewal?

I’m in the same boat. Can’t link to the renewal.

Hi. I applied for PR card renewal for myself and my two minor kids (13 and 17 years old) over the same online application portal (same account). The system accepted 3 applications. No problems with uploading pictures or any other issues whatsoever. Parent application with minor children via same account is possible, right? I see that you did the same. Have you received any update (such as AOR)? I received for each application (for all three, 3 messages) the following confirmation: "Permanent Residence Portal - The Permanent Resident Card process has been initiated for an application linked to your account". Does that mean everything is OK with the applications? I'd appreciate any feedback, information, clarification or experience from all members. Thank you all in advance.

You are lucky that you could able to apply the PR card renewal applications for your family along with yourself.

It appears, their has been some changes made where portal won't allow you to create another application (for your wife/spouse and/or kids) within same login/logon.

I tried couple of times, every time it gives following error message "Please note, you currently have an application in progress. If you would like to resume with completing that application, please visit the “View my applications” page."

I am quite sure I am following the right procedure, but if you remember or can tell it would be helpful.

Has anyone that applied in December been able to find their renewal application on ecas or gckey? Has anyone tried submitting a paper application after applying online?

I applied for PR Card Renewal using the PR Portal. There is one application that says "submitted" and there is another that is "initiated" which was created by mistake. Will this cause any problems with the submitted application? The initiated application is blank. There is no way that I can find to cancel the application that has been "initiated"

Thank you very much

Hey Jeff, I dont think the wrong application will have (any) impact as as long as it has not has been submitted.

Sorry to post on multiple threads, but I got no response on the other thread, so hope someone has some insight here..

I checked on my PR card renewal process on the pr portal today and there is a message under 'Return Reason' which says 'Photos are missing'. This is clearly BS because it wont let you submit unless you submit the photographs..

However, there is nothing I can do on the portal to resubmit the photos... Does this mean I need to resubmit the photograph using web form or just submit a new application?

If they do want me to resubmit the application, I will do it on paper this time.. Clearly the platform is not ready for use yet!
Hi,

Did you receive any update after this? my wife online application saying the same thing. There is no option to submit the photos again if needed.

Hi guys,
Happy new year to all of you.
I've a quick question:
How can I get somehow a confirmation that my PR card applications (see my previous post) are being processed?
I feel in dark since I haven't received an acknowledgement of receipt email (I guess it is normal for online applications which is quite weird).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi as you have received a message that all your applications are being processed, you can assume that these are being processed, Most of us have not received anything outside a few who received "missing photo". Also when you login on the PR portal, does it still show as Submitted or does it show another status ?

Hi,
This is the email I received after submission of each of the PR card applications via Permanent Residence Portal:
"This is an automated message. Do not reply to this email.
Hello,
This email confirms that the process has been initiated for a permanent resident card application linked to your IRCC permanent residence portal account.
To monitor the status of your application and complete the required declaration, log into your portal account with your current log-in credentials.
To avoid missing our emails, check your junk or spam folder.
Thank you,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada"
When I login on the PR Portal, it shows that all three applications as "submitted". No other status!
I hope the phrase "the process has been initiated" (that they used in the email they sent) means they started processing the new PR cards.
Best regards.
