I am just reaching 28 months time since my application was received by IRCC back in June 2020. It has been more than 10 months after I cleared my test. My background check expired 5 months after the test. My second background check has been stuck for several months now. I had a 2nd FP request back in August. I applied for GCMS notes back in May 2022 and have not yet received them. I have submitted several follow up requests on the notes but have heard nothing back. I have sent a post to privacy officer as well and have now also lodged an official complaint to Privacy Commissioner of Canada but have not heard back any thing. Separately I have written to RCMP on the status of my background check but they too have not responded. I have also written to my MP office but they are also not responding. I have now submitted a webform for an update.

Apparently I have a Non-routine application, whatever that means. I applied June 18th 2020 and still no response. Citizenship test completed July 29th. Is anyone in a similar situation ?

No, they don’t! The only reason I can think of is that I missed a 3 week trip in my physical présence calculator.. I was still 6 months over the minimum requirement though.
