Yes there were couple of people who got AOR In this situation. Sign up yourself for automated tracking services in Canada post. That way you will get notified if there is any package coming back in your name.
I think you're getting desperate - there is no reason to panic. As long as you've placed them in separate envelopes and the officer can figure out which applicant the photo belongs to, you should be fine.

I think family applications have to go in one envelope but as long as you tagged the pictures correctly with the right applications, I think it should be fine.

but this also makes me wonder if AOR is THAT END MILESTONE/STEP after which no application discrepancy related returns happen...........

I almost thought there was progress on my application as I received an email notification about my citizenship application today...However this email was the exactly the same as one I received 2 weeks ago informing me about the application tracker...Has anyone received tracker related email from IRCC for than once?
