Just relax and you will be fine. My old passport had the same issue for 10 years which never caused any issue for me

but if you are worried then send an inquiry to BLS and take a print out of sent item or screen shot as a proof that you are working on it.

I went to BLS today and they contacted someone to confirm and they said it is ok and it is manageable and told to not make it worse.

so I guess all good now

Minor application for OCI who's a Canadian citizen by birth.

BLS : Calgary, Walk-in
Date of submission : Aug 16, 2022
DOA : Aug 18, 2022
Mission : Vancouver

I made a couple of mistakes in my OCI application for my son.

1. I forgot to upload my wife's passport in the documents upload. Only uploaded mine. I can't reupload her passport copy as the application is already registered at Mission Vancouver. However, I have submitted her passport copy along with mine at BLS center.
2. On my son's passport, Issuing Authority was 'Calgary-South' but in the Place of issue on OCI application, I put 'Calgary'.

Would the above reasons be a cause of rejection?

Do you think HCI Vancouver would contact me to upload the Wife's passport copy.

Please assist. I am very worried as the travel date is in Oct 1st week.

I applied for OCI at Brampton Walkin on 30th August. It has been 2 weeks and yet I do not see the acknowledgement in OCI website. It shows no record found. Is this normal?

Yes its normal, you will see a status change in next 7-10days

Hi there,
My submission was at Brampton Walk-in (August 19, 2022) - just got acknowledgement today (9/13/2022).
Prior to today, on BLS OCI tracking it said "Processing at Consulate". On the OCI tracking it said "No Record Found"
So as other commented before me you should see updates soon. Good Luck!

P.S. I went today to pick up, got 3 OCI. Each one I opened and cross checked pages + personal details including any spelling mistakes. All good.

Yes, make sure to reach before 1:30 pm , atleast in brampton BLS they accept documents only till 1:30 pm.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share an update on my OCI. Applied by mail to BLS Brampton. I live in Toronto.

Application received: 8 Sep 2022.
Application Status: Under Process - 14 Sep 2022

The application reference number CANT******** has been generated and I can see it on the BLS website when I check the status.

Does anyone know by when will they transfer my file to CGI Toronto? I am assuming in the next couple of days?

I did not send any originals and I think BLS Brampton seemed okay with that.
