You are not required to submit an RCMP PCC for Canada. They already have access to that information. PCC requirement is only for countries you lived in for more than 6 months, after the age of 18, outside of Canada. Some people have provided RCMP PCCs because they were also unsure of the requirement, but again, they do not have to.
That good. Thanks a lot!

Hello,

I have been following conversations here ad they have been very helpful. Something really bothers me concerning the errors I think I made on one of my forms for study permit. The part that asks if we've applied or gotten refused before, I clicked NO innocently. This is because I have no idea that I even had a previous application. I only know that my man tried to work on my Canadian visa 2 years ago and asked me to go do biometrics. After that we heard nothing from the supposed agent again.

He just disappeared and that was it. We just concluded he was a scammer and let go. Now that I've applied by myself with my own GCKey, my biometrics got updated. In short I've done so many research and gotten a lot of information that I'm now scared of not just being rejected but getting punished for misinterpretation.

What do I do in my case? It is advisable to amend the form and upload through Web form? It's been 2 months since I submitted an online application for a study permit.

If I even click on YES, I have no information to what the outcome of that application was.

What can anyone advise please?
I would write a Letter of Explanation and submit by Webform. Make sure the letter references your UCI#, Application # and Full Name. Indicate that you have recently become aware of a variety of immigration scams and you are concerned that you may have been the victim of such a scam 2 years ago when you requested an agent (paid? unpaid friend?) submit a Study Permit on your behalf. State what you said above, that you did get a set of Biometrics completed back then, but nothing came of the application and you never heard from the agent again and he is/was unreachable, leaving you to believe that the 'agent' scammed you and never actually submitted a permit request at all. However, now in hindsight, state that you want to let IRCC know that you are unsure whether anything was ever submitted or not, and you want to make sure that there are no implications for your current application in process. State that the agent (if this is truly the case) never provided you with an application number or a submission of confirmation, or a fee receipt, so you have no ability to track or check whether or not anything was actually submitted. Ask them if they have any further direction or suggestions regarding this matter.

Good day guys, here is my timeline:

Aor: April 11, 2022
First GU: 15 July, 2022.
Second GU: 22 JULY, 2022.
Called IRCC on July 26, 2022 and was told everything is passed and the next step was portal.
I still have not received portal request however, i seen people with similar timeline received portal and even pr.
Any idea when can i expect to receive portal request since it is very frustrating and i have to visit my home country soon.
If anyone can share their experience or in the same boat can comment.

It sounds like you are very close so I would stay in Canada, if at all possible. Since it has been almost a month since IRCC told you that all was passed, just to be sure, I would follow up one more time with IRCC to verify what the first agent told you (they have been wrong in the past). If the second agent says the same thing, I would wait. However, if its an emergency and you have proper documentation/status to travel & re-enter, then go home. If they send you a PR email while you are out of the country, respond that you are temporarily in (country) on vacation and will be returning to Canada on (date) and that you will also notify them upon your actual return to confirm that you are back in Canada and can continue the PR process.

Hi, i am trying to find the answer but couldn’t get any. If you guys know please help.
i am from india and was planning to travel to USA for my bday. My application is in progress under TR to PR.
Do i have to inform ircc when i come back about my travel. Do i have to fill new forms all over again adding this travel?
I have work permit and trv.
Thanks
If your passport and permits are valid/current and nothing expires while you're in the US, you can travel to the US on a vacation. You should not have to update any documents or notify IRCC of vacation travel. Happy Birthday!

Jacob please I need your opinion on this, In my reply to the PR approval email, in the spot for
Email for the Permanent Resident Portal- I added a different email address from the one they used in sending me the approval email, is this wrong.
And in the spot for Location of where you last entered- I wrote just Toronto. People are saying I was supposed to add Pearson airport.
Do you think I should reply again to correct these mistakes or let it be? Please advice me, I got the mail last friday and responded the the same day.
1. IRCC agents would prefer if you would have used the same email address as the agent might have created/initiated the PR portal using the same email. But, since you used a different email, it should be fine but can cause some delay.
2. As long as you mention the correct point of entry. ( in your case: Toronto), it is okay.

how did you check your criminality?GCMS note?
I called and they told me it passed in April and then got a goat update on June 17th, so I called to find out what it was about and agent send criminality in progress. I called today and still in progress.

My Criminality was passed but went back to progress on June 17th. Note sure what would have caused that.
Two possible scenarios:
1. Some people say that criminality has two stages. Maybe your stage 1 criminality was passed, they are working on stage 2 criminality.
2. Sometimes, the Sydney office (one which issued you AOR) passed your criminality. But the Whitehorse office which processed eligibility and background checks can re-check your criminality again.

Y’all what is going on nothing at all since February like seriously no change except for my criminality which changed to in progress again.
my only saving grace is that I applied for my work permit visa and they approved me fairly quickly so I’ll be able to leave if nothing happens by December.
This immigration pathway is so messed up. My life is on hold and everyday, I look and see my friends doing great things and moving up, meanwhile I’m stuck watching my life go by.
sorry for the depressing post it’s just that my mental health has been getting worse and idk what to do.
