The status on BLS Toronto is 'ready for collection' of surrender certificate

I submitted my application on August 4th in person at the Brampton location. I'll get the certificate today and money order for my OCI application, planning to queue up tomorrow morning

Am also self employed, what document did you submit for Professional Details ?

Hi all,
My question is not related to OCI but really need help. My father is indian citizen and here in Canada on PR and is traveling back to india on Sept 26. His passport is expiring end of November. Do we need to renew passport or is it okay.
Airlines is Air India.
Please help if anyone knows about this or if anyone had any recent experience..

no have time apply here normal take time up to four week due to police verification if you WANT TO APPLY CANADA apply TATKAL only.
note- for PR INDIAN PASSPORT need canadian address and address proof if plan have to apply in india please carry this paper to apply for india now very easy to apply and get passport.

Quick Question - one of my friends has medical emergency and he got his canadian passport today using the medical certificate on emergency grounds. Can he walk into the consulate for an Indian Visa and get it on emergency? He has tickets for travel on Friday or can he apply at BLS and request for them to expedite it?

If anyone has VISA appointment for tomorrow at Brampton and doesn't need it please let me know so that he can go and apply as VISA comes in 2-3 days. He wants to keep all options open. Thank you much in advance.

yes if he /she get passport then visa to need to proper explain BLS IN THIS CASE DO NOTHING BLS COLLECT YOUR APPLICATION AND SEND CONSULATE ONLY

nothing. trust me... just mention professional and leave some office address from google search and put a phone number you yourself can answer to verify your own details, but no one will call....also read my comment on last page where I mentioned details of my chat with BLS clerk regarding employment details

How long does it take these days to go from BLS - HCI - Delhi - BLS - applicant ?

Hello! Have a question if anyone has been in a similar situation. My daughter is travelling to India with her grandparents and we have applied for her OCI which we will take with us when we travel a couple of months later, is it ok for her to go on her Visa and then return with the OCI card?

Could someone please help here?
We have received our Canadian Passport a few months back & also Indian PP surrender certificates.
When applying for our OCI, it does not allow us to enter my daughter's expired Indian passport Expiry date field & says 'Passport must be valid for more than six months'. Her Indian PP got expired in 2020 & we never renewed it because anyway thought that we were going to get Canadian PP. And, with same expired Indian PP, we got her Surrender Certificate as well but unable to apply OCI with that.
Please let me know how to proceed now
