Hi, Can anybody tell me if the white horse office is the slowest office from IRCC? I called IRCC this morning and they told me everything was passed except the background check. May I know how long will it take them for the background check? I got my second Ghost update on July 22. Thank you!

Thank you for replying, do you know how long does it take?
noone knows, some people ive seen have been waiting since November. Hopefully its not that long for most people, mine has been processing since June. It depends on the officer.

I received GCMS note yesterday and got a question.

It might be not important, but just curious

Does anyone know what the below means?
"file reviewed re: other approved APR. PA on current application is non-acc dep on partner approved APR. Therefore, current APR to continue processing."
I am curious to know what that means!

Hi guys, I just applied for an extension of my work permit and I got this email the next day:

Please attach this letter to your present work permit Number XXXX as proof that you
are authorized to continue working with the same conditions (ie: employer and occupation) until December 08, 2022
or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first. This
extended period of work is authorized as per subsection 186(u) of the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Regulations. If you leave Canada before a decision is made on your application, you
will no longer be authorized to continue working.

Should not it be 2024? Or they will update it only in mid-October if I read the news below correctly?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/measures-post-graduation-work-permits-temporary-resident-permanent-resident-pathways.html

I would not be able to renew my work contract with my employee now in September if my work permit expiration date is in December... what a shitty situation

Looking at average timelines, You should get the portal within one month or maybe a week.

It just means that PA (Principal applicant) is a non-accompanying dependent on spouse's approved APR ( Application for Permanent residence). Your spouse's APR is approved but he/she didn't include you as an accompanying dependent. If he/she included you as a dependent, IRCC would have given you PR along with your spouse as well. So, they will continue the processing of your permanent residence application. You have two options now :
1. Let IRCC continue the processing of your application.
2. You can ask your spouse to add you as an accompanying dependent on his/her PR application if possible.

My kids do not have visitor record but they have valid canada visa they are here with me and i have work permit will this affect my pr application??
No. it won't. If you included them as the dependents on your PR application, they will also get PR.
