How long does it take for the OCI website to get updated?
I am working through the application process on the OCI registration website and have a couple of questions.
For the 'Applicant's Information' section there is a question that asks for 'National Identification Number' - does anyone know what this means?
For the 'Applicant's Passport Details' section I have entered in my Canadian passport details. However it asks for a 'Previous Passport Number' - do I enter the passport number of my cancelled Indian passport?
I am not sure how to answer these two questions. Although the required fields are not mandatory I am sure the babu at BLS is expecting something there or will reject my application.
Also, the appointments for OCI are not available in August at the Brampton location. Can I book an appointment under Visa or passport and move forward?

Thanks, @amriash and @foreverwait. While completing the OCI application online, I just uploaded my Canadian passport since all other documents were not applicable. Should I just take a printout of the OCI form along with the other documents from the OCI checklist?

Yes you can enter previous passport number as previous cancelled Indian passport number, National identification number comes from national ID like for example Aadhaar Card in India

Does anyone know the phone number of BLS Brampton? Their number on the website is no longer active. I submitted my OCI application in May in person and they insisted on taking some of the original documents. I got my OCI but still haven't gotten my originals. I am afraid the incompetent staff at BLS may have lost it. Anyone else has faced similar issues?
