There seems to be no method to the madness - the timelines seem to vary for each individual. For instance, in my case (family application - 2 adults and a child) the test invite came 5 months after the Background check was updated to complete!

I am not sure that there is a 'normally' in this process - I am a May 2020 Ottawa applicant waiting for the oath since last October....

Oh my. Did your test invite come from Ottawa office? Maybe the "normal" is that Ottawa processing times are 5 times slower than normal!

Your case is similar as mine in terms of family composition for application. My BG was completed April 19. I might need to be patient for another month before I can see the test invites

Exactly.. Mine was completed and DM on January 25th of this year. Nothing till date.. It actually makes me even mad knowing those who applied from ottawa even last August have already gotten their oath done and I am waiting since August 2020

Same here. Applied in May 2020 but decision made in January 2022 and waiting for Oath. Don't know how long it will take. Stuck in Limbo, can't travel. can't plan.

I had the ceremony yesteday, good luck and wish you the best for those who are still waiting, and thanks a lot for the help and advices, now I'll wait for the certificate and I plan to travel by the end of august.

It went ok, around 100 were in the zoom ceremony, first the registration, then we were invited into the main room, a few words from the judge, then the oath of citizenship and then the anthem. Now, I am waiting for the certificate, which I hope to get it in two weeks.

Congratulations! In one of their email reply, they said I will be scheduled for Aug 23rd but no update and email yet, finger crossed it comes soon. When was your application completed?
