Can I enter Canada at the USA/Canada land border with my foreign passport and citizenship certificate? CBSA website says certificate not a valid travel document and on other hand website says citizenship certificate along with a driver license proves identity and citizenship. I am wondering is the citizenship certificate not valid for only air travel. Can you help @rajkamalmohanram
It should be fine because you are presenting yourself directly to CBSA at the border. That’s obviously not the case when you take air or other commercial travel into Canada.
One time, I crossed a land port of entry with my foreign passport and COPR. I was allowed to enter Canada. I assume it would be the same except you have the citizenship certificate instead of a COPR.
You don't need the citizenship certificate at the land border. As long as you have a valid photo ID or other documents which they can use to identify you (AND, of course, you are a PR or citizen), they will let you in.
Two separate questions you are asking:
1) Can you enter USA with foreign passport (ummm, which one?) and certificate? Don't know - but probably not. Check with USA what they require.
2) Can you return to Canada at land border with foreign passport or other ID and Canadian cit certificate? Yes.

If u have a valid USA visa then will let you enter on foreign passport.
But check if your old country has any penalities for travelling on passport after attaining canadian citizenship

Right, right
my partner will contact the border. anyhow its only 2 hours driving there.
The problem with my old country, soon I have Canadian citizen, automatically, my old citizen been revoked.
I dont think I could travel with that..
