Closed Work Permit Non-GTS LMIA Timeline From India

Sir, I have applied LMIA open work permit contract period for two years. As per consultant I eligible to apply for PR once completed one year full time job. Is it true kindly advice

There is no such thing as an open work permit LMIA. Is your LMIA exempt? NOC? Are you in Canada now with IELTS and EC.

When you are requested to submit your passport, only then you are required to. For now, you wait until a decision is made. Good luck.

Usually if all your documents are in order, you’ll receive passport request which means your application is approved. Going by current processing trend GSS applicants have got a response back in 70-75 days, non GSS currently there is no tracking period, we follow whatever is posted on the IRCC website and wait

I don't know the exact date when the LMIA was submitted, as the employer is handling it.

Minimum 2 to 3 months. For me it took 2.5 months

I have received my OPR ( Original Passport Request ) letter
On July 8th
Exactly 3 months from the date of my Biometrics April 7th.
Excited for next steps.
