My TRV and Study permit will be expiring in a month. applied for PGWP in Jan and working on implied status. Same with my spouse working on Open work permit and applied extension.. so we both are working on implied status. and TRV about to be expired. If we don't leave Canada till we get the new permits and extend TRV is there any issues to continue to stay and work on implied status till the decision is finalized.
You are on implied status only if you remain in Canada. You need a TRV to re-enter. Applying for a PGWP is not the same process as applying for a TRV. Once you leave on implied status and return you cannot work or study until there is a decision. Apply for a TRV. https://www.canadavisa.com/implied-status-in-canada.html
Thanks so much for providing such information. I was about to make a big mistake. I will wait till I get my work permit and I think I should be good to travel and come back as long as my old TRV is still valid? Sorry for taking so much of your time. I was in a big shock!

That's incorrect. It was changed. Even if you leave Canada and come back under implied status, you are still allowed to work. Of course, you must still have a valid TRV.

Hi, I'm on the same "January" boat folks. Applied for my PGWP with my family (we are 4), on Jan 14 and nothing.
The only "extra" letter I received was the next day (Jan 15) saying that my spouse would have an "extension" of 4 months, but that's shorter than our current permits (July 30).
There are no updates on the platform, submitting a web form always has a response of "we know the same thing you see in your profile" and calling is just asking for your data, and in the end, there are no agents available and they hang up on you.
