27 months is the revised processing timeline. There are still a few applicants from 2019 waiting on the oath ceremony, this is the reason for the revised timeline. But there are applicants who are getting the citizenship between 8-15 months.
thank you...my husband submitted Feb 2021 received AOR Apr 2021 so I guess he's at 12 months....interesting that people who submitted in Feb are taking longer than people who submitted in April...
Congratulations to everyone getting their ceremony scheduled and oaths taken.....fingers crossed we won't have to wait too much longer. We're also waiting on my brother in law's application for immigration to be re-processed (he got married after he received his visa during covid and had to send it back and update them)....I'm sure they would love to start a family soon but are waiting on this process (theoretically it was supposed to only take another 6 - 12 mos to process his spouse...
It is two weeks since I finished the ceremony. My file CLOSED on 9th May. No certificate yet. Just when you think its all over, you still have to crawl to the finish line. LOL. Without the certificate, cant apply for passport. There is another thread where there are some people waiting for 6 weeks and still no certificate. I hope I don't fall into that category!
From what I see in the other thread, it needs to CLOSE. Thats important. Till it closes, the certificate is not mailed out. I hope I am wrong but that is what I read in the other threads.
