OCI process

i undersand your feelings. I sent my application on 14th March by purolator, received originals back on April 13th. My application is showing up OCI govt website as under process.
Now, I call BLS for OCI processing, they said to that processing time is more than 2 months. On the other hand, here in forum, we see applicants from other jurisdiction receiving OCI 5-6 weeks of submission.

18-March picked up by Purolator
19-March recd at BLS
23-March Acknowledged at BLS
25-March Under process at BLS
20-April Under process - OCI

Travel date is 7 June. Should I start getting worried? Only hope I feel is tweeting to MEA, tagging OCI team and attending their in person grievance session which happens on a weekday for 1 hour.

Where did you apply? Vancouver or Brampton?

Wow! That timeline is so much faster than BLS Ottawa. Its been 3 weeks and I am still waiting for an acknowledgement from BLS. I am also still waiting to receive my original documents.

I never sent my Original docs. Only attested copies.
I have seen faster response times for other applicants.

For surrender certificate is this normal if it status mentions it as passport application instead of Surrender certificate application?

Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.

I just read on the eVisa website that Canadian PP holders cannot request an evisa. CGItoronto website has this information

There is a emergency visa. Evisa is not available for Canadian citizens
You can apply for entry visa or tourist visa

An emergency visa can be applied in the case of emergencies such as any medical conditions of relatives, or death in the family. For this, you need to provide the documentary evidence such as medical reports, Docrors' recommendations, death certificate as well a copy of the Aaadhar Card/Passport of your relative.

In normal cases, an Entry visa is generally being come in 7-10 days. It is better to apply for an Entry visa if you are travelling on 7 June.

Congratulations , i think OCI servers are down can't check my status. Your BLS application date was 30th March ?

Go with Entry visa you will get it within a week (Toronto jurisdiction) its a 6 month multiple entry visa.
