Hello,
Can somebody help me find work in Ontario? I am planning to move from BC to Ontario. I have applied PR on H&C grounds and still waiting for first stage and need job to support myself in Ontario.
I know my question is totally out of topic but any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
thank you!

For the time before you were a PR, days prior to receiving a positive result or a positive PRRA count as 1/2 day for residency, up to 365 days. You will still need to have 2 years as a PR in Canada before you can apply for citizenship in that situation.
I think it also matters whether the person had a valid status or not? I once read on IRCC website that only pre-PR days with valid status will count as 1/2 days. Out of status stay does not count unfortunately. If anybody here heard otherwise, please let us know.
Hello everyone, newbie here!
I tried to read as many post as I could before asking, and the info is great, thanks to all of you for been doing it!!
We applied to H&C trough our lawyer (1st time), we did it via the new PR system. So far our timeline is this:
Application sent: Nov 24, 2021
AOR: Dec 16, 2021 (they refund us the fee for the fingerprint at the same date) In process: UNKNOWN
My question is, if the AOR was delivered to our lawyer, when the application changes, let's say, to In Process, she should get that email as well?
I know this is a long process and takes time, but we checked the ECAS page, and our application is not there. I called to the number you posted and I got, what I read here, is a standard message, about checking eligibility, and at the end of the message says they're doing background check. Also after checking processing times it says 15 months, we will be soon at the middle of that time.
Again, thanks for all the help you provide trough this forum!
Sometimes they are not processing your application yet, wait till it change on ECAS to " in process", they are doing everything faster this year, so I don't think you should worry too much. Be patient, this is applications are longer than others. Mine changed to " in process after 1 year and a half, every case is different, your turn is coming
if not, wait for a couple more months. Dont stress out, it is normal at the moment. Because IRCC is packed with Ukraine cases. 15 months of whole process is the result of averge of regular cases and Ukraine cases. It does not reflect reality. If you check our timeline collection, you will find one of us who applied in April 2021, still waiting for AIP. He/she has been waiting for over 1 year.
Hey everyone,How should I pay my pr fees, I just talked to IRCC today and they said they received everything they only thing that is missing is 500 fee and medical examination .

It’s always good to check junk mail . My mother got good news that’s been sitting for a week in junk Mail . ( lack of technology sometimes causes delay ) but I’m beyond happy for her can’t wait for my turn .
