Interesting. I see too that you're a paper-based applicant, so you should've moved faster (in theory) than online apps to begin with.

Other than keeping an eye on the GCMS notes and writing to MP, etc., I am not sure what else can be done but wait. Also, we are within the 12/27 month timeline so unlikely that IRCC does anything special since those timelines are considered 'normal'

27 months is for new applicants not 2021

Oh my god! Thanks for the link! Looks like the tracker isn't getting new updates after Apr. 12 (when the SSL certificate expired)!

Any suggestions on what needs to be done? Do I wait for the tracker to be updated first or can I take the test in the meantime?

If you're within your window, you can take the test; shouldn't be an issue.

So you're sayin to take the test and wait for the tracker to be updated later? If the tracker doesn't say I need to take the test but I'm within my window and the test link works, then there shouldn't be any issues, right?

I am thinking of getting a letter from my company in US that I need to frequently travel and work in US. I cannot do so under B1B2 Visa. And try to get my file changed to urgent processing.

Please read the qualifiers for Urgent Processing

To apply for urgent processing, you must be eligible to apply for citizenship and have an emergency, such as:

• needing Canadian citizenship to:
  • apply for a job
  • avoid losing your job
  • go to a Canadian school, college or university
• needing to travel because of death or serious illness in your family and you can’t get a passport in your current nationality
• receiving a successful Federal Court decision on an appeal on a previous application for citizenship

Even if these conditions apply to you, we may not be able to process your request urgently. If we do process your request urgently, we may not be able to do it in time to help your situation.
