That generic email address has always been the technical issue contact for online tests.

no this is the address they refer you to if you have a technical problem. The notice to appear email came from a processing office specific address

Got FP request today. Can someone guide me for the steps..can the local police office directly send it for us electronically? I live in the York region of Ontario.

Hi, even I got the FP request email yesterday. However, background status is still shows In progress nothing about FP request. I have followed the instructions in email and in GTA there are RCMP certified agencies who do it. I have booked a slot with Roots Finger printing services. Agency will guide and do the rest. Hope this might help.


My question is - it normal to receive FP request and still the status for background shows in Progress (nothing about FP request)?

Looks like it is normal. Mine it's shows in progress for all 4.

Absolutely normal- I had the same status notwithstanding having received the FP request via email. Upon receipt of finger prints and subsequent review, your tracker status would change to ‘Background check complete’. Good luck !

Received citizenship exam email as well. Can we give citizenship online test on any date between the specified 21 days (holidays, Saturday, Sunday including) or we need to have some specific days?

But didn't the FP request specifically state that the results be forwarded to them directly and even provided the address in BOLD PRINTS?

These are the simple reasons why some applications get delayed for lack of following simple instructions.
